目前情況顯示,住房成本是導致7月份通脹上升的最主要原因。然而,一旦指標開始反映出租金價格的下降,通脹的速度可能會迅速放緩。7月份消費者價格指數(shù)(CPI)中,住房部分的價格漲了0.4%。這部分占了CPI指數(shù)的三分之一,根據(jù)每年的漲幅計算,該指數(shù)在7月份增長了7.7%。這導致7月份整體通脹上漲了0.2%。但隨著租金價格開始下降,住房價格的上漲也可能會減緩,這意味著未來幾個月可能不會再增長。
